ABOUT REEF FILM FESTIVAL
The “Rural Encounters on Environment and Film - REEF” is the first of its kind event in Lebanon and the Arab world that is dedicated to rural life and its representation.
Through film screenings, production of short videos, debates, and discovery of the environmental resources and cultural heritage of Akkar, REEF highlights the diversity of this region and its rural culture all while using arts and cinema.
ABOUT DIBEEN LAB
Dibeen Lab aims to train local youth residing in the area of North-West Jordan to give them the opportunity to tell their own stories through digital content creation.
This idea was inspired though several film masterpieces that have been shot only on smart phones and have reached audiences world-wide as well as festivals. More importantly, using this medium will boost their confidence to depend on themselves only to create their content and films without needing a professional camera.
